Lewisville, located in southern Denton County, is surrounded by 9,000 protected acres of nature including the deep water Lake Lewisville, known as “Urban Bass Fishing Capital of Texas.” The lake is also popular for water sports, boating and its miles of scenic hike and bike trails. The City of Lewisville manages Lewisville Lake Park, a 622-acre park on the south shore of the lake, located less than a mile from I-35E.
